If you, like me, cannot see "America's Army 3" in the PBSetup tool list, then there is another solution.

Download this:

Yes - its international, but the file is only 4mb.
Basically this is an up to date PB folder for AA3.

Next Step:
Delete your "pb" folder ONLY, located:
Steam Install:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\america's army 3\Binaries

Deploy Install:
C:\Program Files\USArmy\America's Army 3\Binaries\

The reason you need to do this is because Vista tries to merge the folders together, keeping some of the existing files still there, therefore when you join a server you may encounter problems. So whether you are on XP or Vista, I recommend you to do this.

Next Step:
Open the downloaded file "pb.rar" with Winrar and extract the folder "pb" to the /Binaries folder in your AA3 install directory.

Done. You are now ready to jump onto a Honor server.

Also please try to do the following if your pbsetup.exe doesn't show AA3 in the game list. Please try running pbsetup.exe and update the way it is suppose to work before attempting our fixes...

THEN go to your America's Army 3\binaries folder and RUN the "pbsvc" application.

Try to join 196.38.180.69 and see if you can select a team and play on the server. Please give feedback if this works for you or not..

This is all work in progress and we need to find the easiest fix. Your feedback is important to others to see what works for you. Mav's post above works, this is how we got his to work last night, just trying to save you 5MB international download with this post...

You may also ask why do you need to download this in order to join our Honor server when you are able to join other Honor servers internationally. The answer is simple, PB released a new server version which I installed on the server to sort several issues out. If you can join other honor servers without the new PB files it means that you are playing on a server which haven't done the update yet. All the servers WILL eventually be on V1.741!

I just downloaded the pbsetup.exe and installed on my Notebook @ the office. After the program started it checked for updates and listed AA3 as an options!

Just did it and it works for me, just when u link aa3 the .exe doesnt show, just point pb to the binaries files and it will pick it up.

Lazy reader.... you have to download it here http://websec.evenbalance.com/downloade ... php?file=1 and then place it anywhere on your PC. Please don't copy it to your AA directory, might get a whitefile kick....

Even on AA2 I never used the setup file thing.
Never worked for me.

Guys, please spread the word and get everyone to this, otherwise people will keep on flooding the server and the server will keep on handling more errors than players commands.... .

Well I followed the directions and finally got into the game, not only was my PC lagging horribly (a frame maybe every 15 seconds), but after a few minutes I was kicked by PB (yet again), only this time it was due to my pubkbuster "heartbeats" stopping or something. I saw there were a few other locals with this problem, anyone know how to fix it?

As for my PC lag, I have no idea why - I can run UT3 perfectly. I don't have the greatest PC, but this amount of lag should only occur were I attempting to play AA3 on a 486...

P4 3.0Ghz
1500mb RAM
9400GT 1GB

People running vista please ensure you running AA3 as administrator otherwise it will not work (or switch of UAC) http://forum.americasarmy.com/viewtopic.php?t=286935.

Also before you even start AA check if PnkBstrA.exe is in your process list otherwise you will get a PB kick as PB is not installed properly/above issue applies.
